CAT. 3 Cycleloft New England Women's Race Series 2002
Congratulations to Amanda See of Verizon Wireless/Cervelo for being the first Cat 3 over the line at Haverhill on September 7th. Amanda did what she could, but her win was not enough to overtake Cassie White, who finished 4th among the Cat 3 women. Cassie hung on to the overall lead until the end, and is the winner of the 2002 Series. Congratulations Cassie! The Haverhill winners in each women's race also went home with a box of Clif bars, and lots of Clif bar samples were distributed.

The Bob Beal Master's Weekend results present us with a problem. Since all the masters women were not run together in the crit, as in previous years, we have no way to score the event for purposes of issuing Vintage 35+ points! It looks like we will have to leave that event out of the Series standings, unfortunately. We cannot find a fair way to calculate overall placings. A couple of ideas were tried, but it's just not possible to determine an overall finish order for all masters. If you have strong feelings about leaving these results out, speak now. We'll mull options over for a couple more days to collect input, but I'm leaning toward excluding these results as the most fair way to proceed.
The good news is that the masters women's fields have grown to support the two separate fields! And thanks to Bob Beal, we have fabulous Bob Beal medals for the top 3 Series winners again this year.

Congratulations to Tami Buhr of NEBC/Cycleloft for winning the Women's Cat 4 Cycleloft Series this year. NEBC/Cycleloft had quite the season this year with claiming 6 of the top 10 spots! Congratulations to all.
The Women's 35+ still has Bob Beal's Master's Weekend to grab some points. Karena Paukulis of NEBC/Cycleloft has won the 35+ Series but the next 5 or 6 places are really tight so stay tuned.
