For those of you interested in trying out track riding on a velodrome...

I was looking at the Lehigh Valley Velodrome website (www.lvvelo.org) (my summer

home away from home Trexlertown, PA track) and noticed that they are having a

CyclingMadeReal women's clinic the weekend of May 3-4, 2003. Karen Bliss and

Sue McDonough who have done these clinics in the past will again be leading this

one. The special thing about this one is that there will instruction and biking

on both the road AND the track.

Quick summary: $150 for the weekend which includes "instruction and coaching by

world-class racers, insurance, catered dinner, track bike rental, videtaped

analysis".

I also emailed a friend/contact at the track and asked about host housing. She

said she would find out if any would be available. On a side note, I know there

are a couple of inexpensive hotels real close to the track that you could

squeeze 4 in a room for the weekend. I'll forward any info when I receive it

about the host housing.

Clinic registration form: http://www.lvvelo.org/TTown%20Clinic_Brochure.pdf

If you have any questions about the track or Trexlertown, I can answer those;

but contact Nancy Seay (see the flyer) if you have questions about the actual

clinic.
